Cayuga Community College Men's Basketball dropped a road game to SUNY Broome on Saturday.

Four Spartans scored in double-figures but Cayuga was unable to secure a season split with the Hornets, falling 91-81. The Hornets also won in Spartan Hall earlier this year in another close contest.

The game was close throughout, with Broome holding a small lead for much of the first half. A short jumper by Marcus Pasha with 20 seconds left cut the Hornets' margin to four before a Broome bucket made it 40-34 at the break.

Broome held a single-digit lead for most of the second half. A jumper from Pasha followed by a Josiah Murphy steal and a Pasha and-one made it 49-45, but Broome responded with a 20-11 run to go up by 13. Cayuga responded in the closing minutes, with a jumper from Murphy cutting the lead to seven, and two Omar Musa free-throws made it 83-77 before the Hornets pulled away in the final minute.

Murphy led Cayuga with 22 points, adding six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Pasha had 18 points, Musa had 12 and five rebounds, and Yaqub Drammeh had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Cayuga is now 4-15 on the season. They're back home Wednesday to host Genesee Community College, who they beat earlier this season on the road.
